The most common types of Meditation are those in which you develop a single point of focus in order to clear your mind of unwanted or random thoughts. In a contemplation, for example, you narrow your focus to a single idea or goal and allow other thoughts to simply pass through. In this manner, new ideas and solutions in your area of focus will come forth.
